Maria Lucia was diagnosed with brain cancer in early December 2014. The tumours have been affecting her severely since their discovery. She has undergone surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy and continues with chemotherapy treatment.
After nine months of treatment, in late August 2014 she returned to her work as an artist, now with little control or movement of her right limbs and consequently working left-handed, mainly from a wheelchair.
This blog aims to illustrate some of the work she has been making and keep people informed about its progress. It does not intend to provide a diary of her treatment or condition.
